BUC College Annual Athletic Meet 2017-18
71st annual athletic meet 2017-18 of BUC College Batala was held on 22nd Feb, 2018 under the leadership of Ms. Parminderjeet Kaur, Director Physical education and with competent guidance of Principal Prof.(Dr.) Edward Masih. Students from different departments participated in the meet with lot of zeal. Mr. Baljit Singh Dhillon, Olympian and Dr. S.S. Nijjar, M.D of Nijjar Hospital were the invited dignitaries who motivated the students to participate more in sports. The Inter department competitions were held in volleyball, basketball, chess, badminton and cricket prior to annual athletic meet in which the science department took the lead. But the annual athletic meet turned the tables in which various athletic events like races, jumps, throws and tug of war etc were conducted and the Arts department emerged as the overall winner under the leadership of Dr. Rajni Bala, Sports coordinator of arts department. Mr. Jagroop Singh and Miss Suman of Arts department became the best athletes of the session. The meet ended with the promises made by the students to each other of trying their best in the coming sessions. Overall function was a great success with God grace.
